Truthfully, thoughtful gifting has always been second nature to me. Looking back, I’ve never been someone who simply buys a present off the shelf. Instead, I’ve always created them — little collections of favourites, inside jokes, and carefully chosen pieces I knew someone would genuinely love.
For me, it was never about ticking a box. It was about the moment someone opened it and felt truly seen and appreciated. From homemade mixtapes to themed hampers, I’ve always loved wrapping up the feeling behind the gift — not just the gift itself.
During COVID, that spark grew into something more. I began creating care packages for family and friends — hand-pouring candles, blending skincare, and wrapping each box with care and intention. It was a simple gesture, but it reinforced something I’ve always believed: the value of a gift isn’t measured by its price tag, but by how it makes someone feel.
